Biography:
Born 1973 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
In my childhood I was fascinated with books and their illustrations and very soon I started making my own illustrations of both the world surrounding me as well as the world inside me.
1984-1988 I attended afternoon Art College for teenagers aged 11-18 and adults. We were taught composition, life drawing, life painting, sculpture and ceramics.
In 1989 Lithuania gained it's independence and all Eastern Europe started living huge changes and experiencing great challenges. In the begining of that, my childhood ended.
I always remember very strongly my early days in Soviet Lithuania: life was beautiful and sometimes painful, winters were frosty and full of snow, summers were wild and adventurous. The rest of the world was far away.
By that time I discovered my favourite painters: Henry Tolouse-Lautrec and Mogidliani.
I also sold some artworks at my stoll during city art and craft fair.
In 1991 I went to study painting at Art Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan city, Poland.
My courses included drawing, painting, illustration, lettering, design, perspective and architecture basics, photography, anatomy, history af Art, history of Culture, art installation, History and English.
Poznan Art Academy was popular amongst foreign students. It was very modern and energetic art scool with internationally known artists and professors lecturing.
In 1996 I graduated with MA Degree in a range of painting.
My favourite painters were Rothko, Mattisse and Nowosielski.
I started selling and exhibiting my paintings while I was a student.
My works are in private collections in many countries : Germany, United States, Norway, Lithuania, France, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Holand, Belgium, Canada...
In 2007 I moved to Mancheter, UK. My last painting exhibition was held in July 2009 in The Corner Gallery, Gatley.
Artist's Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester.
