This painting was inspired by a photograph I had taken in the early seventies. In the background is Piccadilly Plaza, the gardens and the statue of James Watt by Theed which is a copy of a statue in Westminster Abbey by Chantrey. It was a cool, early spring morning and the three women were deep in conversion while having a morning snack. This is the fourth painting in my early Manchester series. Size: 41cmsx51cms
